Discover Buenos Aires from an anthropological point of view
About us
We are a team of UBA graduates—anthropologists, historians, sociologists, and archaeologists—united by a deep curiosity for the past. Forged by years of experience in Argentina’s National Museums, we don’t just study history; we are passionate about sharing it with you. Join us as we explore, discuss, and uncover the stories that shape our world.
Nicolás
Nicolás has always been fascinated by people and their stories. This passion led him to formal study in anthropology and history, which paved the way for a career as an educator and museum professional. He thrives on making history accessible and exciting. Whether he’s traveling to new places or simply chatting with someone new, Nicolás is always driven by a genuine love for discovery and human connection.
Sofía
Sofía is a historian and educator. She created the public-facing history project “Klio y la Turba,” and her dedication to sharing knowledge extends to the classroom, where she works as a high school teacher. Currently, she is advancing her research as a PhD candidate in History at UNSAM, a pursuit driven by the same curiosity that fuels her love for traveling the world and meeting people from all walks of life.
Iván
Iván, an archaeologist trained at the UBA, has a deep connection to the city of Buenos Aires. Though he was born in the historic, porteño neighborhood of San Telmo, he found his true home in the colorful streets of La Boca. He shares his life with Olivia, who is originally from Mina Gerais, Brazil, and together they are raising their two beautiful children.
Ignacio
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Ignacio channels his academic background in History (UBA) into his role as a guide at the “Espacio Memoria y Derechos Humanos” (ex-ESMA). In this profound role, he helps give voice to the past at one of Argentina’s most significant sites of memory. His commitment to dialogue and education also extends to the classroom, where he works as a French high school teacher.
Aldana
Aldana is a cultural heritage expert with a Bachelor’s in History (UBA) and a Master’s in Museum Studies (University of São Paulo). She brings two decades of experience in cultural and heritage tourism to her work, which is complemented by her role as an educator teaching courses on the history of Buenos Aires. Beyond her professional pursuits, she is also the proud mother of a wonderful child.
